Our office is now open for routine dental care in addition to dental emergencies. We are open Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 8 am - 5 pm, Tuesdays from 8 am - 6 pm, Fridays from 8 am - 3 pm, and most Saturdays from 8 am - noon. The dental pulp contains the nerves, arterioles, venules, lymphatic tissue, and fibrous tissue of the tooth. Root canal therapy is one way we have to treat a tooth if the dental pulp becomes diseased or injured, endodontic treatment is required to save the tooth. We perform a variety of procedures including endodontic therapy (commonly known as "root canal therapy"), endodontic retreatment, surgery, posts, treating cracked teeth, and treating dental trauma.
Root Canal Procedures:
Root canals can be done on teeth to repair and save a tooth which is badly decayed or becomes infected. They are performed when the nerve of the tooth has become infected or when the pulp becomes damaged. During a endodontic root canal procedure, the nerve and pulp are removed. The inside of the tooth is then cleaned and sealed. In the past, root canal procedures had the reputation of being painful. Today, most people feel root canals are no more painful than having a tooth filled.
